Create

I was trying to decide what to do for some creativity inside because of rainy weather when it dawned on me that I have been quite creative in the past.  After searching for pendant lights for my kitchen at the big box stores, I came up with a unique idea.  I took 3 brooder (for chickens) lamps and painted them an antique gold and black.  So instead of spending hundreds of dollars for pendant lights I spent about $35 dollars.
I love them, and have gotten tons of compliments on them.  I also made a hangar in my kitchen for some very large utensils, some of which are antique, that I had no place to store.  I tried to make it rustic and country looking, and think I succeeded.  What do you think?  Beside the hangar are some antique pots that my mama used when I was a little girl. (and a lid)
It is made with a board which I rounded the edges on, added some stain, varnish and hooks.  I used jute to make it hang.  I love it....

By the way, ALL the grandchildren loved their tote bags.Thank you craftygemini.com for the tutorial.

Can't decide which one is my favorite.....I kind of like the one with the heart made of buttons, cause I absolutely did it by free hand....

but then again I like the zebra stripe with the flower....?
I've been making these drawstring tote bags for all of my grandchildren.

I embellished the ones that I will be giving to the older girls.....
I picked up this old frame at a yard sale for free no less, and it was once a mirror. I took off the back and changed it into....

this message board for my grandchildren.  They can hang homework, papers that mom and dad have to sign, school events etc.etc.  Looks pretty good if I may say so myself. :)

I made a tellis for my cucumbers and tomatoes using an old day bed frame.
It probably won't be tall enough but it will get me started.

Another completed project.
