I was trying to decide what to do for some creativity inside because
of rainy weather when it dawned on me that I have been quite creative in
the past. After searching for pendant lights for my kitchen at the big
box stores, I came up with a unique idea. I took 3 brooder (for
chickens) lamps and painted them an antique gold and black. So instead
of spending hundreds of dollars for pendant lights I spent about $35
dollars.
I
love them, and have gotten tons of compliments on them. I also made a
hangar in my kitchen for some very large utensils, some of which are
antique, that I had no place to store. I tried to make it rustic and
country looking, and think I succeeded. What do you think? Beside the
hangar are some antique pots that my mama used when I was a little girl.
(and a lid)
It
is made with a board which I rounded the edges on, added some stain,
varnish and hooks. I used jute to make it hang. I love it....
By the way, ALL the grandchildren loved their tote bags.Thank you craftygemini.com for the tutorial.
